Tincleton Gallery – 2024 – Concert programme

Unless noted otherwise typically the same programme is played on both the Friday and the Saturday night.

23+24 Feb 2024 : Ida Pelliccioli; classical piano coming from Paris (D. Scarlatti, W.A. Mozart, M. Blasco de Nebra, and F. Schubert)
Fri 15 Mar 2024 : Mike Denham (piano) with Trevor Whiting (clarinet, sax) as “Clarinet Marmalade”
Sat 16 Mar 2024 : Mike Denham and Julian Phillips; “Ragtime meets Boogie” – piano solos and piano duets
12+13 Apr 2024 : Madeleine Mitchell (violin) with Motoki Hirai (piano) : Beethoven Sonata No.10 op.96 and Grieg Sonata No. 3 in C Minor plus short pieces celebrating UK – Japan Friendship 2024
17+18 May 2024 : Philip Clouts (jazz piano) & Ron Phelan (bass) for great jazz
14+15 Jun 2024 : Katharine Lam; solo piano inc. Schubert’s last great sonata – Piano Sonata in Bb Major D.960 (amongst other works).

=== Summer break ===

6+7 Sep 2024 : Véronique Joly and Rob Palmer; Bossa Nova jazz vocals/acoustic guitar duo
18+19 Oct 2024 : Francesca Maria Villani; classical piano travelling to us from Bari in Italy. The programme will include Scarlatti : Sonata K32, and Sonata K.87; J. Brahms : Klavierstucke op 76; and M.Ravel : Parade.
Fri 15 Nov 2024 : Tincleton favourites John Law and David Gordon play a mixture of solos and duos on the gallery’s two beautiful grand pianos. Expect jazz and Latin music, classically themed improvisation and original compositions from these two award-winning musicians.
Sat 16 Nov 2024 : David Gordon introduces the outstanding multi-instrumentalist Jenny Bliss Bennett. Resident in Somerset, Jenny specialises in violin, viola da gamba and is a brilliant improviser across many styles. Together David and Jenny will play a wide range of music from William Byrd to Mozart, folk tunes ancient and modern and more – with the focus on joyous improvisation.
13+14 Dec 2024 : Duncan Honeybourne; classical piano

=== Winter break ===

– Tickets £15 each.

– All concerts start playing at 8pm. Please arrive after 7:30pm.

– Pre booking and prepayment only. Each party of guests must give a contact.

– We will give refunds if we need to cancel the concert for whatever reason. We will not refund if you need to cancel as that would disadvantage the musician(s), unless we can resell your seat.

– You must respect any Covid social distancing measures, which will in turn comply with Government requirements. At present there are none.

– As usual price includes drinks & nibbles which are served in the interval, but exactly what, how and where depend on our discretion & weather.
