Concerts restarting : 2021 and 2022 concert programme

Mike Denham

7 Apr 2021 – Per the Covid-19 regulations the key date we are watching for concerts is “Step 4 – no earlier than 21 June” when “All legal limits removed on mixing will be removed and the last sectors to remain closed, such as nightclubs, will reopen. Large events can take place” so concerts should be possible. Therefore we intend to open with two short-notice impromptus that might or might not go ahead and might even be on different dates depending on events, and then aim to run our normal pattern during the Autumn 2021 season, and then a full programme for 2022.

Tincleton Gallery – Concerts Suspended Until Further Notice

Pianos at Tincleton Gallery

9 Sep 2020 – Overnight the government has announced changes in the Covid-19 regulations pertaining to England, restricting gatherings to six people until further notice. The indications are that this will be a relatively lengthy restriction.
Therefore for the time being we will again suspend concerts so as to comply with this change..

Fri 21 & Sat 22 August 2020 : Philip Clouts for impromptu jazz concert

Philip Clouts

We are going to run an impromptu unscheduled jazz concert with Philip Clouts now that a limited amount of Covid-19 relaxation has been permitted for indoor musical performance. Cape Town born pianist and composer Philip Clouts’ South African roots have inspired a voyage of discovery. In this solo setting Philip will be presenting his work in an intimate context, highlighting the wide variety of moods in the music, and will also be playing some ‘jazz standards’.
